Cubic Dungeons is a voxel art dungeon crawler set on a mysterious island cut off from the rest of the world by a raging storm. The islanders inhabiting the island live off going down a deep chasm located in a central part of the island and acquiring various items. But going down the chasm comes with a cost: the deeper you go, the more powerful is the curse that makes it increasingly difficult to return to the surface. Some never return…
The game’s atmosphere will be heavily inspired by slavic mythology and fantasy worlds, including the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. During the game the players will come across humans, mythological creatures, elves, dwarves and others.
The plot will be partially non-linear, no playthrough or replayed level will ever be the same. Worth noting is the fact that the player’s moral choices will have a significant impact on the course and experience of the game. Depending on the choices made, the player will receive one of numerous endings.
With this game we aim to deliver a dungeon crawler experience fans of classical hack’n’slash and action RPGs will love, while also introducing new mechanics and systems that aren’t typically found in those genres, to innovate on the genre and give the game an interesting twist.
